The final 'stache hairs have been washed down the drain and you can hear the collective cries of joy from women all over the world…yes, Movember, the MOst wonderful time of the year for men, is over.
It has been an amazing month of raising funds and awareness for men's health issues, as Firefighters were "MOustaching Bad" all month long for a good cause.  In the end, the Regina Professional Firefighters accomplished their most successful campaign to date raising $30, 812 and placing 2nd out of over 200 participating fire teams across the country for the second year in a row! WAY TO MO!!
It was all made possible by individual efforts, team tactics and some great partnerships with District Brewing Co, O'Hanlons Pub, and Global Regina. It certainly didn't hurt to have the Grey Cup in town either! Amidst the moustache excitement, some incredible prizes were awarded and won. 2 Platoon firefighter, Tyler Hogan was the last 'stache standing after an epic bushy battle for the title of Mr. Movember and walked away with beer for a year from District Brewing Co. Winners of the Movember raffle included Grey Cup tickets--Chris Bingham of Saskatoon, Playstation--Jason Dundas, 4 Platoon firefighter and Kegerator with keg from District Brewing Co-- Deb Matthews, 3 Platoon dispatcher, who actually ended up auctioning off her prize and donated proceeds to raise MO dough for the cause!
The Regina Professional Firefighters would like to sincerely thank all those who donated and supported and hope to make next year bigger, bushier and MO better than this year's incredible campaign. Stay classy, stay 'stachey!
